Сложность брачных демонстраций райских птиц легко поддаётся объяснению с позиций креацианизма, а вот нормальным учёным придётся пошевелить мозгами. Ладно это были бы одни позы с растопыриванием разных участков оперения. Но они собраны в сложные, связанные друг с другом движения, которые очень хочется назвать танцем. И что любопытно, молодые самцы посещают тока взрослых, возможно своих отцов, наблюдают за демонстра…

Чтобы увидеть этого красавца - бекасовидного хрустана (англ. Diademed Sandpiper-Plover), придётся подниматься высоко в горы. Причём очень высоко, туда где не бывает никогда тепло! История с красношейными поганками, впервые поселившимися на одном из прудов Москвы, с одной стороны вышла трагичной, а с другой - полна оптимизма. А вы когда-нибудь задумывались легко ли птицам, имеющим длинный клюв? С одной стороны пинцетом, конечно, удобно залезать во всякие шибко потайные места, куда курносым не добраться будь у них хоть вагон желания и неабстрактная мотивация. Если мы задумаем сравнить эволюционный прогресс в разных классах животных, найдём ли мы среди них самых самых? По гамбургскому счёту я бы проголосовал за млекопитающих.... хотя, конечно, очень бы хотелось за птиц. Среди них прекраснейшие летуны и ныряльщики, бегуны и хищники.
