أغمضتُ عينيّ كي لا تفيض دموعي أمامها، لكنها فاضت رغماً عني، وسالت ع خدي، وهي تنظر إليّ وقلبها يعتصر ألماً عليّ قالت لي بصوتٍ حنون أخبريني يا ابنتي، ماذا فِ قلبك؟ فنظرتُ إليها، وعيناي تغرقان بالدموع، وقلت فِ نفسي آهٍ يا أمي فما فِ قلبي أكبــــــــــــــر من الكلام ثم غمستُ وجهي فِ وسادتي، وتابعتُ البكاء، وظلّت تمسح ع رأسي بحنان حتى غلبني التعب، فغفوتُ ونمت.
