Why did Nintendo include so much Auxiliary RAM (ARAM) in the Gamecube? I've just been reading through documentation on the Gamecube's architecture and I was shocked to find out that Nintendo included a whopping 16 MB of Auxiliary RAM (otherwise known as ARAM) for audio processing.
