في فصل (لا إله إلا الله منهج حياة) من كتاب "معالم في الطريق" وهو في نظري أعظم ما كتبه سيد قطب على الإطلاق، كما أنه أعظم ماكُتب في القرن الماضي على الإطلاق. يطرح سيد قطب تساؤلاً… ماذا لو بدا للبشر ذات يوم أن الشريعة ليست من مصلحتهم ؟! يجيب سيد : إنهم واهمون.. إنهم كافرون..
