أفضلُ العبادات وأنفعُها : التجرُّد ، والزهد بالدنيا والتقلُّلُ منها غاية الإمكان واطِّراح الإهتمام بها وعدم الإكتراثُ بكلِّ ما هو منها. الإكسِير (صـ٢٠).
تقديمُ العِبادة على الإستعانةِ في الفاتحة من باب تقديم الغايات على الوسائل ؛ إذِ العبادة غايةُ العباد التي خُلِقُوا لها ،والاستعانة وسيلةٌ إليها وقال شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية -رحمه الله-: تأملت أنفع الدعاء فإذا هو في سؤال الله العون على مرضاته ثم رأيته في الفاتحة في إياك نعبد و إياك نستعين. الإكسِير (صـ١٩).

إن القلب يعرِضُ له مرضانِ عظيمانِ ، إن لم يتداركهُما تراميا به إلى التَّلفِ ولابد! وهما : الرِّياء ، والكِبر ؛ فدواء الرِّياء بـ { إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ} ودواءُ الكبر بـ {وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ}. -الإكسِير(صـ١٥).

مدارُ اعتلال القلوبِ على واستِقامها على أصلين : فسادِ العلم ، وفساد القصد! ويترتبُ عليهما داءانِ قاتلان ، وهما الضلالُ والغضب ؛ فالضلال نتيجة فساد العلم ، والغضب نتيجةُ فساد القصد ، وهذان المرضان مِلاكُ أمراض القلوبِ جميعها . -الإكسِير(صـ١٥).
