نُسب إلى الملك الأشرف الرسولي خطأ كتاب (العسجد المسبوك والزبرجد المحكوك في تاريخ دولة الإسلام وطبقات الملوك)، وطبعت قطعة منه في بغداد بتحقيق الدكتور شاكر عبد المنعم سنة ١٩٧٥م، وهو ليس له، وإنما هو للمؤرخ الخزرجي (المتوفى سنة ٨١٢ هـ)، ونشر الكتاب مؤخرا منسوبا لمؤلفه الحقيقي الخزرجي، ولم يترجم للفيروزبادي ترجمة وافيه لانه توفي قبله، ولكنه ذكره واثنى عليه في خبر قدومه إلى اليمن (2 / 769) ، وفي خبر توليه القضاء ( 2 /775)
