إذا أخذ نفسه هذا المأخذ وحاسبها هذه المحاسبة وذَكَّرها دائماً بغدٍ فإنه يسلم بإذن الله من شر نفسه ، فإذا دعته يوماً إلى أمرٍ يسخط الله ويغضبه تبارك وتعالى ذَكَّرها بقيامها بين يدي الله ووقوفها أمام الله سبحانه وتعالى ، ذَكَّرها بالحساب والجزاء والعقاب والجنة والنار حتى تَكُفَّ عن دعوته إلى العصيان ، وترتدع وتنزجر وتكف عما تطلبه من الآثام وهذا ما يسمى عند أهل العلم بمداواة النفوس أو محاسبة النفوس.
