لا تتحدّث باسم أحد، ولا تطرد من الدّين أحدًا باسم أهل الدّين، لا تقل: محمّد ودينه بريء منك ولا الحسين بريء منك ولا عليّ بريء منك فما أنت بمحمّد ولا أنت بمعصوم لتميز بين الخبيث والطيّب وتعلم ما في النّوايا والقلوب. والقصد بالقلوب أبلغ من غيره.

الأفضل للمؤمن أن لا يُظهر ما ينوي فعله أو ما يسعى إليه، لأنّ الناس ليسوا سواء، وقد يؤدّي الإظهار إلى حسدٍ أو تدخّلٍ يُعرقل الأمر، فالكتمان أحفظ للنعمة وأقرب لتمام الحاجة. فلذلك يُستحبّ له أن يكتم أموره حتى تتمّ، صيانةً لها من التعطيل والفساد قبل أوانها.
