в древних недрах древних чатов откопала иллюстрацию из серии "модные прически после великой французской революции". модность конкретно этой красотки-термидорианки состоит, во-первых, в коротко остриженном затылке (чтобы волосы при гильотинировании не мешались), во-вторых, в открытой шее (те же цели). прическа «а ля виктим» вот тут можно прочитать пару слов об этом в каком-то французском блоге!

давненько не было французского макабра. Робеспьер гильотинирует палача после того, как гильотинировал всю Францию. качество не супер, поэтому подписи читаются плоховато, но каждая гильотина заботливо помечена буковкой и снабжена пояснением, кто именно здесь окончил свои дни. всем хорошей недели!

занимаюсь сейчас исследованием про эпистолярный жанр (проще говоря, переписки). в фокусе внимания одна конкретная пара, но, поскольку проект изначально не мой, период не мой, лошадь не моя и спросить особо не у кого, приходится зачерпывать экскаваторным ковшом всякое сопредельное, а потом просеивать. вот например прочитала кандидатскую, посвященную семейной переписке середины 19 века, главные действующие лица – отец…
еще к вопросу об упущенных академических возможностях: второй раз уже натыкаюсь на конкурс "лучшая кандидатская или магистерская про смерть и похоронные ритуалы", для работ, защищенных после 2020 года, и все бы ничего, но защита должна была пройти во французском университете. увы. а если это для вас, то подавайтесь, дедлайн 15 февраля!

сегодня (два года спустя после защиты и больше восьми лет спустя с тех пор, как я начала заниматься темой советских похорон и всего такого) я узнала о существовании журнала Human Remains and Violence, который ну просто максимально в строку. был. был бы. эх. за всем не уследишь!

фак е, вышла статья в Аспазии очередной долгострой, от конференции в сентябре 2021 до публикации в почти что ноябре 2025 прошло всего-то 50 месяцев. показательно, что за это время остроумное название невероятно устарело. это пока что моя любимая моя работа, хотя стиль и пришлось мощно подгонять под академический стандарт. там про дору воровскую, которой по жизни не везло, и конкордию самойлову с загадочной историей…
