سبک تراش برلیان به سبکی گفته میشود که در آن فست ها به شکلی تراش داده میشوند که با بکدیگر و یا با گیردل زاویه تند داشته باشند. تامام تامام😇 هر چی تا بحال یاد گرفتید دور بریزید. مفهوم خیلی ساده است. دلیل این سبک تراش آن است که نور وارد شده به سنگ شکسته شده و در داخل سنگ به دام بیوفتد. نتیجه این مسئله درخشش (برلیانسی) بسیار بالای سنگ می باشد.

اما برویم سراغ سبک تراش: دو سبک کلی وجود دارد: فست و دامله یا کبوشن که موضوع بحث ما تراش فست است چون تراش دامله بسیار ساده است و نیازی به توضیح خاصی ندارد. تراش فست سه سبک دارد: تراش برلیان، تراش پلکانی (استپ کات که امرالدکات یا تراش زمردی هم گفته میشود) و تراشی که ترکیب این دو است که به آن میکسد کات گفته میشود.

جالب است در همین عکس هم که از اینترنت گرفتم اشتباه وجود دارد. شکل ردیف اول سمت راست شکل گرد (round) را برلیان گذاشته که خوب همین مسئله ای است که ما سعی میکنیم آن را شفاف کنیم.

خب برویم سراغ ادامه بحث: تا اینجا گفتیم که در بحث گوهرها، باید بین شکل و سبک تراش تفاوت قائل شویم. در اینجا مثالهایمان بیشتر برای الماس است اما فرقی نمی کند هر تراشی که الماس میخورد برای سایر گوهرسنگها هم قابل انجام است. مثلا سبک تراش برلیان یا استپ کات هم می تواند روی الماس ایجاد شود و هم مثلا روی کوارتز یا آپاتیت یا حتی زمرد. همین مسئله در مورد شکل هم صادق است.
