По наводке cosas curiosas прочитал роман каталонской писательницы Ирене Сола, так как есть перевод на английский. Это такой магреализм, но не современный, «с элементами», а классический, латиноамериканского извода. Поэтому цитата из «Педро Парамо» отца жанра Хуана Рульфа перед одной из глав очень даже кстати. В послесловии авторка перечисляет фольклорные истории, на которые она опиралась. Роман про каталонские Пирене…

Нашли в библиотеке в каталонских горах вот такую книжку — сокращенный пересказ историй про муми-троллей. Почитал их с ребенком и с удивлением узнал, что Муми-тролль рос без отца! Муми-папа отправился в приключение и пропал на годы (!). Нашелся папа во время наводнения на дереве и оказалось, что у него есть дом поблизости, где он конечно же ждал Муми-маму и сына. Но звучит так, что он просто прятался от них и отцовски…

Буквально на прошлой неделе писал о комиксе Лауры Перез Castaways, а тут выяснилось, что другой ее графический роман Nocturnos в прошлые выходные на Comic-Con в Сан-Диего получил премию Айснера, одну из главных (если не главную) в мире комиксов. Поздравляем Лауру, а о Nocturnos я писал вот здесь. #графроман

Вдогонку к посту о «Жуке в муравейнике» хотел написать о грядущем сериале «Полдень», основанном на этой книге. Каммерера играет Юрий Колокольников, Абалкина — Максим Матвеев, Глумову — Юлия Снигирь. Кастинг неплохой, но на этом хорошие новости заканчиваются. Я просмотрел трейлер и до перечитывания книги и после, и могу с уверенностью сказать, что в нем мало что осталось от Стругацких. Прочитал «Жук в муравейнике» братьев Стругацких в рамках перечитывания книг из цикла «Полудня» (см. тут, тут и тут) и в преддверии выхода одноименного сериала. Книга, конечно, гениальная. Начинается как детектив или, скорее, триллер: прогрессор Абалкин сбежал с поста на другой планете, возможно, убив своего коллегу. Прочитал просто идеальный комикс для нашего путешествия по Испании — Castaways (Изгои?) Лауры Перез и Пабло Монфорте по наводке Разговоры и комиксы (спасибо!). Про более поздние, сольные работы Перез я уже писал (тут, тут и тут), это одна из моих любимых авторок графических романов. Но в Castaways она выступила как иллюстратор, а текст написал Монфорте, поэтому тут нет мистики Перез, но уже есть ее фирменный стиль. …

Вдогонку ко вчерашним постам (тут и тут) про Брауна: интересный момент — ни в одном книжном Барселоны я не видел роман «Происхождение» на полках, посвященных литературе с местным колоритом, ни на испанском, ни на каталонском, ни на английском.
