قَدِمَ وَفْدُ بُزَاخَةَ; أَسَدٌ وَغَطَفَانُ إلى أبي بكْرٍ يَسْأَلُونَهُ الصُّلْحَ، فخَيَّرَهُمْ أَبُو بَكْرٍ بَيِّنَ حَرْبٍ مُجْلِيَةٍ أَوْ حِطَّةٍ مُخْزِيَةٍ. فَقَالُوا: يَا خَلِيفَةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ، أَمَّا الْحَرْبُ الْمُجْلِيَةُ فَقَدْ عَرَفْنَاهَا، فَمَا الْحِطَّةُ الْمُخْزِيَةُ؟ قَالَ: تُؤْخَذُ مِنْكُمُ الْحَلْقَةُ وَالْكُرَاعُ، وَتُؤَدُّونَ مَا أَصَبْتُمْ مِنَّا، وَلَا نُؤَدِّي مَا أَصَبْنَا مِنْكُمْ، وَتَشْهَ…
إذا قمتَ، فادعُ اللهَ أن يُصلحَ لك قلبَك ونيَّتَك؛ فلن تُعالجَ شـيئًا أشـدَّ عليك منهما.
قال ابن تيمية: "من أراد السعادة الأبدية، فليلزم عتبة العبودية." فالعبودية لله ليست ذلًا، بل هي أعظم أسباب العزة والكرامة في الدنيا والآخرة.
لا يُواجه العبد عقبَات الدّنيا ولا ينجُو من شرور الآخرة إلاّ بالدّعاء! فالدُّعاء يرفع القضَاء، فكم من المصائِب ارتفَعَت بالدّعاء، وكم من نعمٍ جلبهَا الدُّعاء.. وقال شيخ الإسلاَم ابن تيميّة رحمهُ الله: من تمام نعمَة الله على عبادِه المُؤمنِين، أن يُنزلَ بهِم الشدّة والضُرّ ومَا يُلجِئهم إلى توحِيده.. فيدعُونه مُخلصِينَ لهُ الدّين.
