وصف الله نبيه ﷺ في بداية بعثته بقوله (وإنك لعلى خلق عظيم) ثم لم يزل ﷺ يدعو بعد ذلك في صلاته "اهدني لأحسن الأخلاق" فالوصف الأول لم يمنعه ﷺ من طلب المزيد والترقي في هذا الباب إلى مزيد من الحسن والكمال.
