Фото не для слабонервных. Но буквально днем ранее там были пышные зеленые кустики. Меня поразил не столько результат, сколько скорость его достижения. Инсектицид у меня есть, но слишком убойной силы, т.к. брала для цветов, а для того, что идет в пищу, он как бы не айс. Сегодня съездила за более щадящим на случай, если вдруг что-то из еще, надеюсь, живых корешков все же отрастет снова.

В сербских интернетах активно завирусился вот этот видос (первоисточник здесь). Сегодня он добрался даже до самых отсталых слоев населения в моем лице)) Посмотрела и хохотала в голосину, потому что это прямо местная жиза. Здесь, когда друзья-подруги вдвоем-втроем (а иногда и больше, но там уже по ситуации) идут куда-нибудь посидеть, счет обычно не делят: кто-то один типа угощает. При этом предполагается, что в следую…

Сезон торжественно открыт — за обедом распечатала первый арбуз в этом году. В качестве даже не сомневалась, покупала у проверенного мужика )) Он торгует у нас на углу соседнего дома каждое лето. Обычно начинает позже, в последних числах июля, но этот год, видать, и по арбузам тоже сверхурожайный. Собственно, купила как раз потому, что увидела мужика на привычном месте)) Могла начать сезон на месяц раньше, если не бол…

Вышла с кофе на балкон и обнаружила гостя — совсем еще юного богомола. Убивать и даже прогонять не стала, животное это в хозяйстве полезное))) Богомолы — хищники, растения они не жрут, зато всяких паутинных клещей и прочих вредителей — только в путь.

Недавно пыталась объяснить преподавательнице сербского, что значит "понадеяться на авось" (она учит русский). Прямого аналога нет, ближайшие варианты в буквальном переводе — "понадеяться на удачу", "положиться на волю случая", "будь что будет", но это все не то. Примечательно, что русские толковые словари тоже смотрят в сторону "понадеяться на счастливый исход", но это не объясняет, почему "понадеяться на авось" не р…

Лена сходила на рынок за огурцами и арбузом)) Спойлер: огурцов купила, а арбуз — нет. Пока дошла до арбузных рядов, которые находятся на противоположном конце рынка, если идти со стороны моего дома, его уже было некуда класть)) В этом году, в отличие от прошлого, когда был неурожай и все кусалось, еще и цены радуют. И уже пошел первый инжир — с утра подумала, что неплохо бы отметить Танабату первым в этом году арбузо…

Между тем пошла жара! И это только начало, дальше — больше! Портулак радуется, а я грущу и с надеждой смотрю на кондиционер. Но кондиционер кондиционером, а выбраться куда-то теперь можно либо совсем рано утром, часов до восьми, либо после полуночи. И то послабление символическое. У меня вот овощи закончились, а за ними нужно идти на рынок, а чтобы сходить на рынок, надо встать часов в шесть, максимум в семь утра, а…
