ومِن دوافع حُب الشخص لشخصٍ آخر أن يرى فيه مأمَنه مِن كل خوف، أن يجد فيه راحته مِن كل تعب، ويرفع عنه كل شاغلٍ يشغله، فلا يقصدهُ إلا وجدَه، ولا يغيب عنه إلا وافتقدَه، ولا احتاج إليه إلا ومنحه، يجد فيه ضالته، ويحتوي بكل حُب حُزنه وألمه، يُشاركه فرحه، ويألم لمُصابه، ويغفر زلته وعثراته، فيشعُر أنه في القُرب منه واحدٌ مقسومٌ على اثنين، وفي البُعد عنه جزءٌ مفقود بكُل ما أوتيَ من شوقٍ ولهفةٍ ينتظر كُلَّه.
إِن لَم تُقاتِل مِن أَجل حَالٍ تَتَمنّاه، سَتُقاتِل أَضعافه مِن أَجل التّأقلُم مَع حال أَنت لا تُريدُه. "يا صَبرَ المَرءِ وفي قَلبِهِ غَايةٌ ويا صبرَهُ إِنْ لم يَنلْهَا!"
