Почему «Палата 6»? Когда я выбирала название для этой книги, я уже знала, что оно будет связано с Чеховым. С его «Палатой № 6». Но мне было важно не пересказать Чехова и не написать современную версию его повести. Мне интересно другое. Что изменилось за сто с лишним лет? Мы научились говорить о психике. Научились распознавать кризисы. Научились называть то, что раньше просто называли «слабостью» или «ненормальностью»…
Иногда жизнь меняется не в тот момент, когда происходит что-то страшное. Иногда всё начинается гораздо раньше. С обычного утра. С чашки остывшего кофе.
