شنو الفرق؟ الفرق أن المنطق القديم يدور اجمالا حول نوع واحد من الاستدلال هو القياس، ويرجع الصلة بين التصورات إلى التداخل أو التضمن، تداخل الأنواع تحت الأجناس وتضمن الأجناس للأنواع. بينما المنطق الحديث اكتشف اضافات أخرى لا حد لها بين الموضوع والمحمول.

من الجدير بالذكر أن المنطق الأرسطي يخلو من الكثير من العلاقات الي استحدثها المنطق الرياضي، كما أنه يفتقر إلى القوانين العامة التي يمكن أن تطبق على جميع صور التفكير الإنساني. مثلا إذا قلنا: جنان أجمل من حنان، حنان أجمل من جيهان. جنان أجمل من جيهان. فإن هذا الاستدلال لا يمكن رده إلى أي شكل من أشكال المنطق الأرسطي. لكن أكو رأي يقول أن المنطق الرياضي ليس جنسا آخر من المنطق مغاير للمنطق القديم إنما هو منطق صوري في حلة جدي…
