وشمس الصباح كانت تداعب وجهي بأشعتها الدافئة، تهمس لي بلطف حتى أيقظتني من نومي العميق. فتحتُ عينيّ ببطء، ووقعت نظراتي على سعف نخلة بيتنا، ذلك السعف الذي كان يتمايل برقة مع نسيم الصباح العليل. كان النعاس لا يزال يرفض أن يغادر جفوني، ومازال النوم يسكن في أعماق رموشي، وكأنّه النجوم في السماء لا تريد الأفول. أغمضت عيني مجددًا، فوقع على مسمعي صوت خشخشة سعف النخلة، صوتًا غريباً، كأنّه رفرفة أجنحة الملائكة في سابع السماوات. …

لقد تُوُفِيت منذ دقيقتين .. وجدت نفسي هنا وحدي معي مجموعة من الملائكة .. و آخرين لا أعرف ما هم .. توسلت بهم أن يعيدونني إلى الحياة .. من أجل زوجتي التي لا تزال صغيرة وولدي الذي لم يرَ النور بعد .. لقد كانت زوجتي حامل في شهرها الثالث .. مرت عدة دقائق اخرى .. جاء أحد الملائكة يحمل شيء يشبه شاشة التلفاز .. أخبرني أن التوقيت بين الدنيا والآخرة يختلف كثيرا .. الدقائق هنا تعادل الكثير من الأيام هناك " تستطيع أن تطمئن عليه…

عندما تاتي الشهاده لتشهد على مسيره تشع على الطرق المعبدة وغير المعبدة و في ازقة الظلام تبحث عن بصيص نور، هكذا كانت مسيرة الدكتورة الاديبة الشاعرة والكاتبة والقاصة" سماهر الاسد" . منذ عرفتها خلال عقد من الزمن وهي تضرب بقدميها الارض باصرار كي تثبت للجيل الذي يتابع كتاباتها، ان المستحيل لا يمكن ان يقاوم الاراده والعزم، بل لابد ان ينكسر امام ارادة الانسان. وانت ايتها الاديبة يا نخلة الاهواز الباسقة، حقا انك اثبت للأجيا…
