وقد دامت الغزوة المباركة ثماني ساعات، انتهت بالسيطرة على المدينة وقَـ.تل ما يقارب من 5000 رافصْي، وتدمير معابد الشرك وعلى رأسها قبة مقام الحسين بن علي بن أبي طالب - رضي الله عنهما-
خرج بعدها المهاجمون قرب الظهر ونقلوا ما أخذوه على أكثر من أربعة آلاف جمل إلى " الدرعية…
