قال ابن عثيمين -رحمه الله- : إن من أهم أسباب انحراف الشباب الفراغ، فالفراغ داء قتال للفكر والعقل والطاقات، إذ النفس لابد لها من حركة وعمل، فإذا كانت فارغة من ذلك تبلد الفكر وثخن العقل وضعفت حركة النفس واستولت الوساوس والأفكار الرديئة على القلب، وعلاج هذه المشكلة أن يسعى الشاب في تحصيل عمل يناسبه من قراءة أو تجارة أو غيرها مما يحول بينه وبين هذا الفراغ.
