به مناسبت بارش شهابی برساوشی اگر در یک شب صاف و تاریک به آسمان نگاه کنیم ممکن است در هر ساعت چند درخش نورانی ببینیم، به این درخشها که در نقاط مختلف آسمان دیده می شوند شهابهای پراکنده میگویند. این درخشها یا شهابها حاصل برخورد ذرات بسیار ریزی در حد یک دانه شن و یا عدس با جو زمین هستند. این ذرات به دلیل نیروی اصطکاک با جو در ارتفاعی بین ۷۰ تا ۹۰ کیلومتر از سطح زمین شروع به سوختن میکنند که از زمین قابل مشاهده است. …
