وقف الثلعب على حافه البئر ونظر الى الماعز الذي كان ينظر اليه بعينين مملوءتين بالصدمة وقال له ماكر ببرود يا صديقي مدهوش لو كان لديك ذكاء بقدر لحيتك لما نزلت الى مكان لا تعرف كيف تخرج منه ! تذكر في نهاتيك قبل ان تبدأ .
صاح الثعلب في داخله فرحآ بنجاح خطته . وما ان استقر الماعز في قاع البئر ، حتى قفز الثلعب ماكر بخفة و سرعه فوق ظهر الماعز مدهوش ومن ظهر الماعز قفز خارج البئر بسهوله تامه
أقتنع الماعز السادج بكلام الثلعب فماء الغابة بدأ يقل بالفعل ، ولم يفكر للحظه في سبب وجود الثلعب داخلآ دون القدره على الخروج ودون تردد قفز مدهوش بتهور داخل البئر .
