فَلَهُ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- حوضان عظيمان، حوض في الدنيا وهو : سُنَّته وما جاء به، وحوض في الآخرة، فالشاربون من هذا الحوض في الدنيا هم الشاربون من حوضه يوم القيامة، فشاربٌ ومحروم، ومستقل ومستكثر، والذين يذودونهم هو والملائكة عن حوضه يوم القيامة هم الذين كانوا يذودون أنفسهم وأتباعهم عن سنته ويؤثرون عليها غيرها، فمن ظمِئ من سنته في هذه الدنيا ولم يكن له منها شِرْبٌ فهو في الآخرة أشدُّ ظمأً وأحرُّ كبدًا وإن الرجل ليلقى…
اللهم وجهّنا لما خلقتنا له، واصرفنا عمّا نهيتنا عنه، ولا تشغلنا بما تكفّلت لنا به، اللهم اجعلنا من جند الخير دُلنا عليك، أرشِدنا إليك، علمنا منك، فهمنا عنك، واعِذنا من مُضلات الفتن ما أحييتنا.

عن الحسن البصري قال : إنَّكَ لَتَعْرِفُ النَّاسَ مَا كَانُوا فِي عَافِيَةٍ فَإذَا نَزَلَ بَلَاءٌ صَارَ النَّاسُ إلَى حَقَائِقِهِمْ صَارَ المُؤْمِنُ إلَى إيمَانِهِ وَالمُنَافِقُ إلَى نِفَاقِهِ.
