من دواعي الاستغراب وسوء التقدير ان يتم اختيار محافظ لـ ذي قار كان معقب معاملات ! وكان سمسير معامل الطابوق ونسونجي درجة اولى. المحزن انه ينتمي الى عشيرة عريقة ولها مواقف مشرفة وكذلك جاء مرشح تيار ينتمي الى عائلة عليمة وقدمت خيرة أبنائها شهداء وهذا الاختيار لا يقل عن انتكاسة اختيار يحيى الناصري الذي سار في نفس الطريق ونفس المنهج. وكانت العاقبة سيئة جداً
