يحارب حزنه حربا طويلة، ويحارب أفكار ليل تباغته في ساعة أرق، يحارب كسله حتى لا يخسر مكانه في سباقه الطويل في الدنيا والآخرة، وتسويفه حتى لا يرضخ لنفسه الأمارة بالسوء فتهكله. جبهات حروب لم يدخلها طوعا، بل أجبر ليتسلح ويدخل بقلب متوكلا على الله. يتملكه الخوف الكثير والرجاء الكبير، وعزاؤه أنها دنيا تنقضي، المهم أن يخرج من ذلك كله بقلبه سليما معافى، من سقم ومن حزن وغم.
