שר הביטחון ישראל כ"ץ קיים אמש דיון בנושא ריבוי הצעדים המנהליים שננקטו לאחרונה נגד מתיישבים ביהודה ושומרון, בעקבות פניות רבות שהגיעו אליו. כ"ץ הסביר כי כאשר ביטל את צווי המעצר המנהליים, מטרתו הייתה להעביר את הטיפול בחשדות למסלול חקירה והליך פלילי רגיל ולא להחליף זאת בסמכויות מנהליות אחרות. על המעצר של טל ינון דרדיק אמר כי הוא חורג מגדר הסביר. מנגד, נכון לרגע זה דרדיק עדיין נמצא במעצר (ועל כן המדד של השר לא יתעדכן).
