صدق فقد علقت على موضع في البداية والنهاية بثلاثة أسطر، أخذت معي أياما، وكانت في صفحة ونصف ثم بعد أيام نقحتها ثم توالت عليها التنقيحات حتى خرجت على ما هي عليه. وكان بين كتابة هذا التعليق وآخر تنقيح له أشهرا، راجعت فيها عشرات الصفحات. والقارئ يقرأها في ربع دقيقة!

النقاش في المهدي عند أهل السنة من قديم. وقفت على أثرين في السنة للخلال عن مجاهد وقتادة في أن الناس لو رأوا معاوية لقالوا: هذا المهدي. وهذا يصلح للاستدلال على شهرة أمر المهدي عند التابعين. وهو دليل مؤثر بلا شك. السؤال: هل تعرفون أحدا استدل بهذه الآثار على هذه المسألة؟
